About ~ AoC Design

AoC Design is what I would name my design company if I had one.

In October 2009 I purchased the domain aocdesign.com as my portfolio, also so that if I ever do have my own company I will be able to claim ownership of the name. The hosting company I used gave me a great deal of extra space to play with as well as free access to several features like WordPress. I was already using Blogger as a personal blog and didn’t have use for another one, but I was curious and created a blog in this sub-domain. Here I posted writing samples, not really connected to my area of expertise but in an attempt to see how the features work.

It is certainly a great thing to say that I enjoyed the WordPress features even though I only posted four times on the blog. It kept coming back to me that I should come up with something more to post, something more relevant to my profession. I considered moving my Blogger blog to WordPress, but if I ever do that I would first want to purchase a domain just for that as a separate area from the more professional world I’m trying to get in touch with here. Then as I was attempting again to create a logo for AoC Design, it hit me. I should do art and post it.

I, surprisingly, do not do that much art considering that I have a degree in theatre with an emphasis in design and technology and with a dream of becoming a theatrical designer. I have trouble getting motived to draw or do art, but when I do it tends to turn out well.

Hopefully, I will do more work with the blog encouraging me.
